Support Immigrant Families

Iwen knows that NYC is extraordinary because of its diverse culture and neighborhoods. Immigrants keep our city and country running and are the backbone of every community. As a first generation immigrant, Iwen understands the drive and desire behind the American Dream. She has dedicated herself to improving the lives of the Asian-American immigrants throughout Sunset Park, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst by being a trusted voice to bridge the gap between the government and the community. Iwen has a plan to make sure that no immigrant has to live in fear, but rather can thrive under the American Dream:

  • Support non-profit organizations who are relentlessly doing the hard work of continuously providing crucial services to immigrants by allocating vital grants and funding.

  • Expand language access to all city and state agencies and programs.

  • Provide interpreters in additional languages at polling sites, so that voting becomes easier and accessible to everyone.

  • Provide pro-bono legal representation for immigrants.

  • Supporting Coverage For All New Yorkers by including undocumented NYers in the Essential Health Plan.

  • Advocate universal childcare to help immigrant and working families.
